128-bit Encryption
As you know, there are millions of users using the internet.
Without tight security, your financial information might be viewed
or even downloaded by other users when it travels through the Internet
to our bank. Hence, to ensure the security and privacy of your
information, we require all our Internet Banking users have the
highest level of protection possible for all Internet communication.
That's the reason we require you to have the 128-bit encryption
to encode your data. The encryption will "scramble up" your
data so that nobody can understand it except the authorized personnel.
There
is nothing wrong with Liberty Small Business and Personal Online
Banking or your computer if you try to enroll in Liberty Small
Business and Personal Online Banking but cannot view the Login
page after clicking at "I Agree" button; or if you
are an existing Online Banking customer but cannot get to the Login
page after clicking at "Logon". That's simply because
your computer is not safe enough to perform online banking transactions.
We recommend you use either Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator
for your Internet Banking. To download the latest browser, you
can click on one of the links below:
Follow instructions at the Internet Explorer or Netscape
web site to download and install the browser. Please read the instructions
carefully to make sure that you download and install a 128-bit
version.
For Internet Explorer users, if you prefer to upgrade your browser security, please select from one of the links below:
Alpha, Windows 3.1/95/98/NT High Encryption Pack
Windows 2000 High Encryption Pack
Please note that Internet Explorer 5.5 includes 128-bit encryption.
If you already have Internet Explorer 5.5 installed, you do not
need to upgrade your browser. If you are running Windows 2000,
installing Internet Explorer 5.5 will not change the current level
of encryption. You will need to install the Windows 2000 High Encryption
Pack.
Once you have completed your installation, shut down and restart
your computer. Now, you should be able to enjoy our secure Liberty
Bank Interent Banking anywhere, anytime you want.
Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account
Identification Procedures Requirements: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
